The Band, 1966

Chris Hunt from 210 entry sent this picture of the band Fanfare Team at the 1969 royal tournament

Chris also sent in this picture of the Pipe Band.

Peter Stefanovic sent this from 1971, he thinks it t was at Halton whre they were practicing with the massed pipe bands for the Royal Tournament held at Earls Court, London.

Mark Rahaman tells me that the Cosford Apprentice Pipe band passed out and were then disbanded as following MOD policy there would no longer be any 'big' apprentice entries, which made keeping the band untenable.

Ben Arrived in 66 and was still keeping us awake in 72. He also passed out and into retirement with 225 entry, October 1973. His last dog handler was Nev Hepburn who was on 225J Flt.

Ken Farmer writes, This was a parade in 1967 I think, shortly before another Pyrenean Mountain Dog was given to the French as a mascot. In the photo I am the Drum Major with Colin Wyver (107th) as Ben’s handler. Russ Matteson (108th) is with the soon to be French Mascot. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name it was given.
